This is a pretty big release for the project touching on nearly every part of the gameplay, with some big tech changes behind the scenes too. But no matter how low I set the graphics, there are always some random fps drops, stutterings or extreme lag. I trimmed out some gameplay it should be obvious that the SDL trace plays back slow, when looking at the approaching rocket. Xonotic (a fork of the original Nexuiz) has a brand new release available with tons of improvements. Judging by Xonotics system requirements, I would like to think my system is at least good enough to run the game without significant hiccups in very low settings. The first image of the game appears when voglreplay64 is at index 700, before that the replayer window is black.

In reality it takes about 4 seconds to be in a game in the replay it takes about a minute. I noticed some vogl warnings about client side arrays and non-whitelisted calls but they appear in both tracer outputs.įor my untrimmed SDL trace voglreplay64 is at index 2000 when the game is still in the menu. If anyone is handy with Xonotic servers let me know.
#Slow xonotic down download#
I have a slew of quake maps and even a UT map or two, but the download server doesnt seem to be working. It's not stuttery but plays back at about 20% of normal playback. 3 Its back We need to fix the download server for the maps. When tracing the -sdl client the playback is in slow motion (not in interactive mode). The game Xonotic comes with two binaries called xonotic-sdl and xonotic-glx.
